Nursing Tutoring Essentials aims to provide students with the most optimal support to students with English being their second language. This support has been designed out of need for students who are struggling with university life, understanding what is required for their assignment, and medication pronunciation. This course is also beneficial to those students about to go on clinical placement or, for those who are preparing for OET’s or IELTS.

Nursing Tutoring Essentials can provide one-on-one practice – and have designed a course that is intended to assist the unique needs of ESL students. Students will have the opportunity to practice medical terminology, clinical skills such as TPR, BP’s, medication administration and documentation. Codes of Practice and ethical guidelines (including scope of practice) are also considered. Students will also have the opportunity to explain various concepts to the Registered Nurse, and ways to improve language skills are provided.
